Em 20 minutos meu rosto se transforma no de minha irmã gêmea idêntica. A transformação é tão lenta que a imagem parece parada. Eu e ela somos tão parecidas, que se tem a impressão de que a mudança é pouca ou nenhuma. No entanto, entre o início e o fim, vemos uma seqüência de imagens virtuais que percorrem todos os mínimos graus de diferença entre nós duas. Estas imagens não são nem eu, nem ela, mas entre uma e outra, o que não fomos.


In 20 minutes my face becomes my identical twin sister’s face. This transformation is so slow that the image barely seems to be altering. We are so much alike that one feels that it is not changing at all or changing very little. However, linking the beginning and the end, we see a sequence of virtual images that captures all the physical differences between us. This sequence does not represent myself or my sister but all that I could have been up to her and all that she could have been up to me.
